Last year, our teacher in English gave us a play entitled, “Sabina.” Everyone had anticipated for it at first. Vacation was almost over so my classmates set a practice before it goes too late. The play week entered and good thing our teacher told us that it will be done next Monday for she is to attend somewhere else on Friday, the play date.
Sabina is a light play of a girl who felt in love with a merchant man. She is ready to love even it is against all the odds. Her brother was one of those who were really against about the affair of Sabina and Mr. George. Antero, the brother, was furious and he wants to end the relationship. Sabina did not listen to him until one night, when she and Mr. George talking, she learned that Mr. George had already been married. She did not take it and committed suicide.
I was the one who played the role of Antero. I tried to do everything I could to deliver my lines well but I failed. I think what happened during the actual performance was a disaster. I hope my classmates won’t curse me when they read this. With the grace given to us by our teacher, we received 85 and I think that was fair enough.

I had been Anticipating for This
I had been Anticipating for This
Oh come on, at this very moment, my hands are shaking for tomorrow…tomorrow, I’ll receive my much awaited laptop. Yeah, I had been waiting for it for like two months now. It only started as envy. I overheard that my cousin asked her mother to give her laptop because she needs it. I wondered if I can also do the same. I asked it to my godmother and she disapproved. She told me that I don’t have money to buy such things and I should by things that are useful to me.
I had been bugging her before about buying a dog and she told me the same thing. After two days I guess, before I got to school, she told me that she had told my Tita, we use to call her Mama, in abroad that I want laptop. Sometimes I wonder if I’m just adopted because I always feel very special. My relatives always give me thins that they don’t give to my sisters like MORE money and a lot of shirts and shoes/
My Ninang told me that Mama said yes when she asked for a laptop. I felt excited. Really excited, that I always tell about it to my classmates and they often call me laptop boy. I am just really happy that I want to express my feelings. The problems haven’t arrived yet.
Mama doesn’t want it to be sent via package because she knows that before I get it, it will be broken already. I was thinking how can I get it? My cousins were planning to go to their mom in the States back then. Mama told me that she’ll just send it through them. I think I can wait for January first because that is the time when they will go back here.
Mama changed her minds. She is just going to send it to my older cousin from States because my cousins have a lot of stuff to bring and they are already to bring home laptop to each one of them. I can wait for it. My older cousin will be coming here on the 15th of January because of the wedding of his sister.
There came a time that I was so desperate to get my laptop that I told our household why don’t Kuya Emboy (older cousin) go here as early as December 25th? Don’t he miss his parents here? Of course that was a joke but I mean it….
And now the wait is finally over. I’ll mark my calendar for tomorrow. Wait that is also my sister’s IELTS so I wish her all the best. I wish for her success in the examination.

Church Related Activities
This holiday, we were very busy with our church program. On the evening of 24th of December, before Noche Buena, the Children’s Department had prepared a play about the creation until the birth of Jesus Christ. Children of all ages had taken part on the said activity. The babies had act as angels and they were really cute. All of them are wearing white dress and wings. There was also Mary and Joseph and Adam and Eve.
After the production we gave gifts for the visitors we had encouraged to attend. The money we used to buy the gifts was collected from the night we had our choir carol. The gifts served as addition fir their Noche Buena. We do this gift sharing every year.
On the 31st our choir had a cantata. It tackles the birth of Jesus Christ. Some of the characters from the last play were also present as the portrayers. I like the song sung by all the female voices, A Mother’s Deep Prayer. It was so good and very touching. I think the performance was fair enough.

Is it Goodbye?
There are lot of ways people may depart either physically or emotionally, we still had moments that we cherish with them. Lately, people around me depart, some for good, and some are not.
Virgil. He is nice to me. He had been classmates for two years. We have a lot in common. We get along with the type of music we listen to, the acts we do. We enjoy each others company. I can say that everyone in our batch is close to him because he is friendly. Now he had gone to America together with his brothers. We only talk to each other through chatting in the net.
Jaja. She is very adorable. Even she has a lot of flaws, I still like her. Even I give her a lot of criticisms she accepts it. She is very friendly. She likes to ask me about my life. We call the interview to each other, autopsy. I miss her for she had gone to another school for some reason.
Jape. He is my online-playmate/classmate. We and some of my classmates always play web browser games because we don’t need to download it. He is very friendly. I don’t know why but he is prone to sickness. He always tell our adviser that his head is aching. He is very secretive.
Those people I had mentioned had been very dear to me. I’m sad because I don’t see them much but at least I can still talk to them. I will never forget the friendship they had established and I know that our classmates will feel the same way towards them.

Current Events 2
The Case of the Alabang Boys had been a very hot topic in the news and in the congress. I know I have no rights to speak on this matter because I’m not on the right position to say so but this is just a reaction. People resort to different acts when they have problem. They sleep, sing, dance, they put there attention to other things so they can feel at ease, worst they resort to drugs to totally forget everything for some time.
The problem starts with us; it will become the problem of our family, last, the community. If only our parents can guide us in everything we do, I think there won’t be any trouble, but of course, that is impossible.
Next, in the part where there is an alleged bribery, no one knows it except for the person involved. I hope justice shall prevail with this matter. I don’t know if this still exists in our society now.

Current Events
We were all disturbed by the increase of cost of almost all of our daily needs. Electricity and water bill for our parents and even food in the market and most especially the cost of gasoline. I think every individual was affected by this. Commuters, passengers, motorists and even tambays all had their own headaches for the weekly increasing cost of gasoline. In many ways, they were devastated with this matter. The cost of the mainly sought products in the supermarket had increased to the extent that buyers need to lessen their consumption. Isn’t that a problem? On the news, transport owner groups demanded for fare hike for they feel the increase of the cost of the gasoline. Ordinary people are being asked for their opinions about the crisis and most of them are hoping that prices of the daily needs be lowered. Gasoline price even reached up to 60+ Php/Liter and that would really hurt the pockets of motorists.
What is your breakfast? I tag you
Every morning we eat our breakfast to boost us for the daily activities we are to do. But what if your breakfast is cigarette? Oh come on, I hate it. I encountered a lot of times, when I am to go to school riding at a tricycle; the drivers are smoking cigars already. Can’t they wait to smoke later that afternoon? It is so wrong for me to see people smoking as early as 7. Of course I can say this cause I don’t smoke but why that early?
When I pass by houses, I can smell the scent of the food they eat, sometimes fish or stake. It seems that it is the start of the new beginning. A day had passed and we need to face another day. But whenever I smell smoke coming from cigar early in the morning, ir seems that my day is broken already,
I pity those who don’t know what smoking may lead or even those who know the effects to their health but don/t put a stop on their smoking.
When I grow up, I will try my best not to have any vice. Our body is the temple of God and we shouldn’t mess with it.

Tanging Ina Nyong Lahat/ Star City
Last 30th of December, our church had an annual excursion. I did not join for I always feel that my back is aching. I don’t want to feel that I’ll split into two because I can’t carry my other half because of the pain. My older sister was the only one who joined the said event. The departure was set to 5: 30 in the morning but they were able to set off around 7, because of the driver. I think they went to Pasig Rainforest Park. I won’t like it there because my sister told me that she had just wasted her time. Good thing I did not join. They stopped by to a mall after that. Actually we had planned for that. I, together with my older cousin and younger sister will meet there up to watch a movie. Because there was allotted time for my sister to go back to the bus, she got her things and told the field trip coordinator that she had to meet us up and she won’t join them for the ride to the next destination.
We met at a store where we thought of the film we’re gonna watch. We had chosen the sequel of Tanging Ina, Tanging Ina Nyong Lahat. I guess we agreed on that part. It’s a good thing that my sister loked for the schedule of filming after she had gone to the mall. It was 12:50 pm and thank goodness we were just right in time when the movie started.
The movie started when Ina (Ai – Ai) woke up on her birthday. She was thinking that her children will surprise her but she was wrong. Her children forgot that it was her birthday and she was the one who was surprised. That started the story. Because she was not working that much she thought that she had been useless already. She tried to study again so she can find more decent work from the last time. Her best friend, (Eugene) saw news clipping that Malacanang is looking for a chambermaid. They interpreted it as the person who chooses chandeliers for the beautification of Malacanang Palace. They were hired to work as maids, of course.
They tried to have a photograph together with the president but they were always very unfortunate. One night, the president went to the kitchen to look for food but there was no cooked food. Fortunately for Ina, she was there and she and the president were able to mingle for some time.
The next day, she overheard that the vice president wants the president to be killed. She got a proof for the files that were blown by the wind but she was to late to relay it to the president. The president had gone to a speech so she followed her.
The following scenes were very funny. A guy near me literally falls into his seat while watching the movie. It was worth it. There were a lot of quotable quotes like, “ Ako ang nagtanim, iba ang kumain, dahil diet ako.” “Ang babaeng hindi natutumba ay dating kundoktora.” It was so good. Even sometimes I can’t stop from laughing. There were scenes that Ai – Ai was doing drama and I was moved. I felt her pain.
And so after watching we went to eat. We ate at a pizza place. We thought of following to Star City because that was the next destination of the field trip. I don’t have a choice. All of them wanted to.
When we got there, I enjoyed watching my friends ride on the rides. I dared myself if I can ride on Surf Dance. That was so sick. Five turns before us, someone on the ride fell out of consciousness. The ride was set to stop. I got afraid of riding but there is no more turning back, I will waste my one hour of waiting if I’ll quit. I had great time riding it. It felt like you are being twisted in the air. I can’t explain my facial expression that time. I was enjoying it, at the same time, afraid if I’m gonna fall. After the ride I felt that my stomach is rotating. We were about to fall in line for Wild River but there was not enough time.
We went hone around two in the morning because we just had public transportation units as our ride home. I had a great time.

Twilight
..Buzz.. It's Twilight, remember? Who among of you can say that you were not bitten by th fact that it was a hit book and movie?
I still can recall the days before I don’t know anything about Twilight. I have heard it already from my classmate but I don’t pay much attention to it. My life was so dull. Joke. Am I so melodramatic? Next, I read the Twilight book in the internet, a good friend of mine passed an e-book of it. I bought Eclipse, the third installment of Twilight Saga for it is the only available book on the mall that time. I had fun reading the first book so I told it to my sister. She bought one Twilight and New Moon after I told her that. She found it entertaining.
In our campus, my classmates had been brainwashed and got the Twilight fever. Almost everywhere you go you can here them say anything about Twilight. I don’t condemn them for acting that, in fact I like it. I can understand more deeply how the bite of the vampires flowed through their system.
I’m one of the fans too. I to be real, I had bough one poster and one shirt of Twilight. I don’t know what made me like it but I was bitten by the Vamps as well.
The motion picture was set to be aired here on the 26th of November. I watched it on the 29th. It seemed lacking. I was looking for some more. At least it had given me the picture of Twilight so I won’t be mislead while reading the next book.
Even after the movie was out there still Twilight fever in our classroom. I can still here them talking about it. Even the soundtrack was a hot topic. The next movie, New Moon was also a big question for us. There are a lot of rumors that they’ll change some of the casts and even the director. I don’t know but I’m currently waiting for the next ones.

Fine Christmas
I know that the spirit of Christmas is giving but how can I give if I have nothing? XP
I had a lot of fun this Christmas but not as much as the past few Christmas I had. I think everyone knows what had happened to my family. Almost every year we diminish in number when Chrsitmas comes. This year, my cousins flew abroad to make their Mom happy for she is longing for them. We had a very peaceful Christmas. We had enough food for everyone. After eating my cousin from the neighborhood dropped by and celebrated her Christmas with us. We opened our gifts and guess what, I received one whole pack of Butterfinger, a Superman shirt and handkerchief. We had fun for she had brought Wow Magic Sing and we stayed until three in the morning.
I had fun. On the 25th I woke up around 10 because of the children asking for papasko. I helped my Ninang distribute money to every caroler. I went to Caingin in the afternoon to meet my other Aunts. I had gone to the cemetery to visit my mother's and brother's grave.

Whew, after so many months of being out of this blogging stuff, I'm back. I would like to greet everyone a Happy New Year. I hope everyone will have a great time this coming year and let us not forget the moments we had shared with our special someone. I hope everyone the best for this coming year unlike mine. Yeah, you read it, unlike mine. WTF, I had a bad new year. Before the clock stroke at midnight, I had the worst time. We had a family problem that was brought up until now. I cannot put a lot of dtails 'coz of course it is very private. I just want to share that to every reader.
Well, we should not carry grudges anymore this year of the Ox. Maybe I'll carry it until next year. I hope this problem would be ended. I know whoever did that to us wil be happy to what he had done. Thank you for giving us problem before the year had ended. New year, new roblem. Bye now
